Website Visitor's Policy

Like most website operators, Health Care of New Jersey Federal Credit Union (HCNJFCU) collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. HCNJFCU's purpose in collecting non-personally-identifying information is to better understand how HCNJFCU's visitors use its website. From time to time, HCNJFCU may release non-personally-identifying information in aggregate, e.g. by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

HCNJFCU also collects potentially personally-identifying-information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users of on-line banking and bill pay. (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web.) HCNJFCU only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to HCNJFCU's websites choose to interact with HCNJFCU in ways that require HCNJFCU to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that HCNJFCU gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who fill out a membership request or an on-line loan application to provide as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. HCNJFCU may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, HCNJFCU may monitor the most popular tabs on the website. HCNJFCU may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, HCNJFCU does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Information Collected from E-mails and Web Forms

When you send us personally identifying information, for example, in and electronic mail message containing a question or comment or by filling out a form that e-mails us information, we use this information to fulfill or respond to your request. We may store these request, comments and other content submitted to our email address, hcnjfcu@yahoo.com for future improvements to our Website. We only store them long enough to use them to improve the service. We do not create individual profiles with the information you provide.

Children Under Thirteen

Accounts for children under thirteen are custodial accounts. Children under thirteen are prohibited from performing on-line services. Password information is only given to the custodial owner of the account.

Site Security

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, HCNJFCU employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

General Policy

The following is information that the HCNJFCU collects and discloses about you:

Information we receive about you from a consumer reporting agency.
Information obtained when verifying the information you provided on an application or other form. This may include information from your current or past employer or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions.
We may disclose information we collect as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. To protect our member's privacy we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality practices and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell the member information we provide to other third parties. In order to conduct the business of HCNJFCU we may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you under the circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information necessary to process business on your behalf.
Information received will also be used to seek payment of any debt owed through nonpayment on an account.

Business Transfers

If HCNJFCU, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that HCNJFCU goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of HCNJFCU may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, HCNJFCU may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in HCNJFCU's sole discretion.
